Why Some Christians Will Not Vote For Senator Obama Part 2

10 Reason Why Some Christian Will Not Vote For Senator Obama

4. The World Is Looking For Leader, Messiah and a God

I believe the United States of America is in disarray at this time. No other time in my life has America look so bad. Many politicians, business and church leaders are being accused of crimes that are not normally committed by outstanding citizens. The rising of gas and food prices. The rise of financial instability. People loosing their homes to foreclosure, jobs and self respect. The decline in morality can be seen in film, music, the internet and the world. Child crime, sex crimes, obesity, poor education and disease has become common place in the greatest nation in the world. America is looking for answers and solution. America is looking for a leader that will stand for truth. A leader that will bring positive change. This is true in America, but it is not just America. The world is looking for a leader. This was evident when an estimated 85 million people watched Senator Barrack Obama give his acceptance speech during the Democratic Convention to accept the nomination. This really was eye-opening. This US Presidential Election has also been ear-opening as people from the Bahama, Jamaica and other countries call into talk shows telling how they have given up their citizenship or have become dual citizens to vote for Obama as the next US President. If you are asleep it's really time to wakeup. Then a week later the Republican representative John McCain also had a record setting viewing. People from around the world are watching. They are also looking for a leader, a Messiah or King.

Some Christian will not vote for Senator Obama because they fear what they might exalted the man over God. Many of them are looking for him to change the world. The focus and dependence for change for some Christian is on the man and not God. Some Christians fear is of worshiping the man. They like him and would like to see him win, but they don't want that which seem to be going great with the Democratic party and Obama to turn for the worst. The fear of voting in a man that will be exalted to God-like status is somewhat scary to them. Many Christian are just unsure about what is right in regards to God plan for them in this situation. The right choice for them when unsure is to not vote for Senator Obama. This is not to slight Obama. For the Christian, the best option is to pray that God will will be done. They feel that God knows what is best, so they will leave things in His hands.

It also must be noted that some Christian refer to 1Samuel 8:5-20 and 1Samuel 12:13-25. These text points us to the time when Israel wanted a King and God gave them a King. It was never God desire for them to have a King. God was to be their king. This want for a King displeased God and Samuel and as a result Israel suffered. They suffered the consequences of their choice to have a king. Most Christians would rather pray and allow God's will to be done than to deal with an angry God.

5. God has the power (Dan 2 :20,21)

God ..he changeth the times and the seasons, he removeth Kings, and setteth up Kings:
Some Christians will not vote for Obama because they by faith believe that God will put in the right man for His purpose. This may not necessary be the Christian purpose, but they believe that what God does is best.

6. The Sins Committed In Office

Some Christians believe that the man or woman that is voted in as President, that they have voted for must be pure. If not spiritually pure he must be willing to repent of the sins that he has committed prior to taking the office. He must also remain pure. The reason for this is that some Christian believe that the sins that any politician commits when in office, that they have voted for will effect them in their relationship with God. They believe that they will be held accountable for the sin and wrong actions that are committed in office. Why? because they voted for that man or woman who now holds the hold the office. It's almost like when a police officer frees a wife beater thinking that he will not do it again. Then the wife beater turns around and murders his wife. Most would blame the officer, although the wife beater committed the crime. I think you get the point. This is what some Christians believe will happen to them. They believe that God will hold them accountable for that man or woman that commits a sin in office. This doesn't just applies to for the President only. This applies to any officer appointed to any office whether it be federal government, city, state or church. One example that some refer to is Saul before he became Paul he watched Stephen get stoned to death when he could have made the choice to stopped the stoning (Acts 6:5-15, 7:1-60,8:1).

7. Cabinet, Officials and Supreme Court judges are chosen by him

Some Christians believe that there is a government within a government. This goes back to the days of Oliver North. Some still can't believe that what he was able to do the things that he did as a Colonel. A General of the Armed Forces yes, but just a Colonel, no way. It has been said that when President Jimmy Carter got in office that many of his cabinet member were already chosen for him. How much is true about that statement we may never know. But, unfortunate some people believe it and will not vote because of it.

If i voted for the wrong person and he ended up in office, i would not personally take the responsibility for him being in office. I'd ask for forgiveness in casting the vote...but God's ways are not our ways-just bcuz it felt wrong to vote for that person, doesn't mean God says its wrong.
