What Will Some Christians Do Now That Obama Has Won

What will some Christians do now that Senator Barrack Obama has won the 2008 Presidential election. I think and hope that they will give their unwavering support. Although, some Christian did not vote for him or any other candidate, they believe that he should be respected like any other president. Just because they decided not to vote for him, that didn't mean that they dislike him. President elect Barrack Obama has look presidential. He has conducted himself in a highly professional. He has stood up in the line of fire like a general in battle. During his campaign he fought very hard as candidates and critics bombarded him with questions and negative comments. He explained himself on numerous occasions only to have his words twisted and use against him. But, he never displayed any anger towards anyone, although that is what some were hoping for. He truly showed that under extreme pressure that he is a man that can remain calm and in control.

The Christians that did not for Obama will pray that he will lead this country like no other man in history. They will pray that he will continue to be successful and make history in the coming years. Although, they felt convicted not to vote for him they believe that God can lead him in fulfilling the promises that he has made that will better this country. I believe that if he ask these Christians will you help me with ideas on health care, the economy, or on any other issue they will say,"YES WE CAN".Why would they say, "Yes We Can"? Well, it is the Christian duty to support the government.

1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect;if honor, then honor. (Roman 13:1-7)(New International)(this version of the Holy Bible was only submitted for clarity).

...Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.(KJV)

It is the Christian's duty. I had to repeat this because some think that they are not duty bound to the government and it's leaders. They are duty bound unless, government laws directly come in conflict with God's law. Remember, Jesus payed taxes just like everybody else. He didn't violate the laws of Pagan Rome which was the government that he was ruling in His day. He obeyed God and Man. I hope that each Christian will see it this way. Christians are followers of Christ if they do not follow His example in this matter then how can they called themselves Christians? Now, that the election is over and the president has been chosen what will the Christian do now? He or she should will except their responsibility and serve. I ask the question to those who voted for Obama and those who didn't voted for him because of their personal conviction can you share your ideas, your talents, or your convictions with President Obama? I hope that all the people of this great country said,"Yes We Can".

Why Some Christians Will Not Vote For Obama Part 3

8. Prayer is More Powerful Than The Pen

All Christian should believe in Prayer. The Christians that I interviewed believed that prayer is communicating with God. They believe that ultimately God is in control of all that happens in life. The 2008 Presidential Election to them is no exception. Many Christian would rather take their chances with God and not machine or ballots.

9. Voting on Issues and Not The Man

Many Christian are registered voters. They feel that there is nothing wrong with voting on issues that may affect property taxes, water taxes, alcohol laws, environmental issues, etc. To them voting on the man who will have to depend on Congress to assist in laws being passed or not just doesn't work for them.

The last and final reason why some Christian will not vote for Senator Obama is:

10. Being Responsible For Bringing This Country to a Disastrous End

Most, if not all agree that after 8 years of Bush Administration that it is really now time for change. Many like the ideas and issues that Obama touches on frequently in his speeches. All would also agree that they would feel horrible if they voted in a man that brought this country to a disastrous end. This is not to say that Obama would, but any man who win the office of the Presidency could do this. This could happen willing or unwilling. When you take a look at history Kings and Presidents have made choices that has caused nations to collapse. Presidents have declared war on other countries and have weakened their own country. Some Christian believe that one day that there will be a New World Order. The New World Order will unite Religion, Economic Systems and the Political Systems. They believe that it will be universal. That would mean that there would be one religion and that all would have to abide by it. This would be reminiscent of Hitler's Germany. In Hitler's Germany The German Lutheran church became the state church. Whoever didn't follow the way of the state Church were persecuted.

Papal Rome also had a similar system.
The Pope control the church and the state in Papal Rome, 538-1798 AD. This is why many came to America. They flee from religious persecution. America power lies in her Constitution. When her freedoms are tampered with, perverted, twisted, or changed. This will only end in disaster. When the Declaration of Independence was sign it was agree that this would be a country that would be separate from others in regards to policy, laws and system. The US Constitution spells out what the United States of America would be about. It speak about the freedoms that were not allowed in other countries. In regards to religious freedom, the signers agreed that America would be country without a King and it's Church would be without a Pope.

History tells us what happen to the signers of the Declaration of Independence. These men at great risk signed this document. The remnants of Papal Rome (England, France and others) became their bitter enemies. The signers came from these lands seeking freedom, but were taxed unmercifully. They were threatened to follow the policy of their old land. When they refused to take it anymore. Many of the signers signed one of the most important documents this nation has ever known. As a result they were persecuted. Many lost families members suffered from property, finances, starved, were thrown in jail and fled for their lives. (http://usff.com/usff/sacredhonor.html)

The reason why some Christian will not vote for Obama (although they love him as a person). They would not want him to ever be put in a position to sign a document that would lead to a New World Order. The New World Order will lead to a surrender of all the US freedoms as we know it today. It will lead to America's disastrous end. All that the signers of the Declarations of Independence and the US Constitution fought for would be no more.

This is why some Christian will leave all this voting of a man in the hands of an awesome God.

Why Some Christians Will Not Vote For Senator Obama Part 2

10 Reason Why Some Christian Will Not Vote For Senator Obama

4. The World Is Looking For Leader, Messiah and a God

I believe the United States of America is in disarray at this time. No other time in my life has America look so bad. Many politicians, business and church leaders are being accused of crimes that are not normally committed by outstanding citizens. The rising of gas and food prices. The rise of financial instability. People loosing their homes to foreclosure, jobs and self respect. The decline in morality can be seen in film, music, the internet and the world. Child crime, sex crimes, obesity, poor education and disease has become common place in the greatest nation in the world. America is looking for answers and solution. America is looking for a leader that will stand for truth. A leader that will bring positive change. This is true in America, but it is not just America. The world is looking for a leader. This was evident when an estimated 85 million people watched Senator Barrack Obama give his acceptance speech during the Democratic Convention to accept the nomination. This really was eye-opening. This US Presidential Election has also been ear-opening as people from the Bahama, Jamaica and other countries call into talk shows telling how they have given up their citizenship or have become dual citizens to vote for Obama as the next US President. If you are asleep it's really time to wakeup. Then a week later the Republican representative John McCain also had a record setting viewing. People from around the world are watching. They are also looking for a leader, a Messiah or King.

Some Christian will not vote for Senator Obama because they fear what they might exalted the man over God. Many of them are looking for him to change the world. The focus and dependence for change for some Christian is on the man and not God. Some Christians fear is of worshiping the man. They like him and would like to see him win, but they don't want that which seem to be going great with the Democratic party and Obama to turn for the worst. The fear of voting in a man that will be exalted to God-like status is somewhat scary to them. Many Christian are just unsure about what is right in regards to God plan for them in this situation. The right choice for them when unsure is to not vote for Senator Obama. This is not to slight Obama. For the Christian, the best option is to pray that God will will be done. They feel that God knows what is best, so they will leave things in His hands.

It also must be noted that some Christian refer to 1Samuel 8:5-20 and 1Samuel 12:13-25. These text points us to the time when Israel wanted a King and God gave them a King. It was never God desire for them to have a King. God was to be their king. This want for a King displeased God and Samuel and as a result Israel suffered. They suffered the consequences of their choice to have a king. Most Christians would rather pray and allow God's will to be done than to deal with an angry God.

5. God has the power (Dan 2 :20,21)

God ..he changeth the times and the seasons, he removeth Kings, and setteth up Kings:
Some Christians will not vote for Obama because they by faith believe that God will put in the right man for His purpose. This may not necessary be the Christian purpose, but they believe that what God does is best.

6. The Sins Committed In Office

Some Christians believe that the man or woman that is voted in as President, that they have voted for must be pure. If not spiritually pure he must be willing to repent of the sins that he has committed prior to taking the office. He must also remain pure. The reason for this is that some Christian believe that the sins that any politician commits when in office, that they have voted for will effect them in their relationship with God. They believe that they will be held accountable for the sin and wrong actions that are committed in office. Why? because they voted for that man or woman who now holds the hold the office. It's almost like when a police officer frees a wife beater thinking that he will not do it again. Then the wife beater turns around and murders his wife. Most would blame the officer, although the wife beater committed the crime. I think you get the point. This is what some Christians believe will happen to them. They believe that God will hold them accountable for that man or woman that commits a sin in office. This doesn't just applies to for the President only. This applies to any officer appointed to any office whether it be federal government, city, state or church. One example that some refer to is Saul before he became Paul he watched Stephen get stoned to death when he could have made the choice to stopped the stoning (Acts 6:5-15, 7:1-60,8:1).

7. Cabinet, Officials and Supreme Court judges are chosen by him

Some Christians believe that there is a government within a government. This goes back to the days of Oliver North. Some still can't believe that what he was able to do the things that he did as a Colonel. A General of the Armed Forces yes, but just a Colonel, no way. It has been said that when President Jimmy Carter got in office that many of his cabinet member were already chosen for him. How much is true about that statement we may never know. But, unfortunate some people believe it and will not vote because of it.

Why Some Christians Will Not Vote For Obama Part 1

Recently, While I was driving down a traffic filled street in North Carolina I was listening to the Michael Baisden show on the radio. This particular show took place at the end of the time 2008 Democratic Convention. During this show just like many Michael and his co-host George Wilbourne was talking about Senator Obama and the upcoming election. I heard a statement that really caught my attention. The statement went something like this, "And some Christian are saying that they are not going to vote for Obama". It appear that Michael Baisden And George Wilbourne couldn't believe this.

I sat in my car somewhat stunned by their reaction because I didn't think that there was anything really strange by some Christian not voting for Obama. It's perhaps, shocking too many who are reading this that I feel this way. I thought many realize that there is a segment of the Christian population that feel strongly against getting involved in politics or the political process. Yes, I know that this year it is different than any other. First, for the first time in history a black man or a man of color won the Democratic primaries. Secondly, He received the nomination to represent a major (Democratic) party for the first in the history of this country.

I have known for years that some Christian have separated themselves from this for years. I guess to those who don't know it does come as a shock that some black Christian as well as Christian of other races would not vote for Senator Obama. You may ask why? I will attempt to list 10 reason why Senator Obama will not get a vote from some Christians. This is based on some of the Christians that I have personally interviewed.

10 Reason Why Some Christian Will Not Vote For Senator Obama

1.The Political Process:
Although, many have fought for the right of black and minorities to vote. Some believe that the process is not without flaws. It seem strange that voting machines seem to all of a sudden malfunction when it's time for some blacks who are Christians go the polls. In 2000 it was hanging chads and recently names were left off some ballots in some states. In some areas voting places were closed early according to some sources. Some Christian who were able to cast their votes in 2000 saw the Supreme Court step in and decide on a President. When human effort wasn't enough some Christian realize that their prayer closet would be the appropriate place to cast their vote.

2. Affiliation with Questionable Organization and Secret Societies:
It is true that we may not know everything about a political candidate, but some things ought to be known. You can call it paranoia, but many separated themselves from politics because of the organization that that particular candidate is associated with. One of the reason why this happens is because of uncertainty. Some of these Christian want to be certain that these organization or societies will not force their agenda on their candidate once in office. They believe that that candidate should carry out the agenda that moved then to vote for him. Another thing that is look at is the history of some of these organization or societies. If there is a history of violence or illegal activity this has turned some of the voters off. They feel that spiritual light mixing with darkness is wrong.

3. Put Not Your Trust In Princes or Man (Ps146:3-10)
The majority of Christian don't have a problem with following a Prince or a man. Some Christian fell like they will follow man as long he follows God. On the other side of this is that some Christian who will not vote for Obama, will not follow a man at all. They will just put there trust in God. Unfortunately, for some of candidates these Christian have to be convinced that they will be honest the entire time while in office. It is true that all have made mistakes and will continue to make mistake. But, deliberately lying and fooling the American people is just not tolerated by some. I personally think that some of Senator Obama success can be attributed his honesty about his use of marijuana. He didn't waffled or try to get out of it once it was reported. He was honest about it.
