What Will Some Christians Do Now That Obama Has Won

What will some Christians do now that Senator Barrack Obama has won the 2008 Presidential election. I think and hope that they will give their unwavering support. Although, some Christian did not vote for him or any other candidate, they believe that he should be respected like any other president. Just because they decided not to vote for him, that didn't mean that they dislike him. President elect Barrack Obama has look presidential. He has conducted himself in a highly professional. He has stood up in the line of fire like a general in battle. During his campaign he fought very hard as candidates and critics bombarded him with questions and negative comments. He explained himself on numerous occasions only to have his words twisted and use against him. But, he never displayed any anger towards anyone, although that is what some were hoping for. He truly showed that under extreme pressure that he is a man that can remain calm and in control.

The Christians that did not for Obama will pray that he will lead this country like no other man in history. They will pray that he will continue to be successful and make history in the coming years. Although, they felt convicted not to vote for him they believe that God can lead him in fulfilling the promises that he has made that will better this country. I believe that if he ask these Christians will you help me with ideas on health care, the economy, or on any other issue they will say,"YES WE CAN".Why would they say, "Yes We Can"? Well, it is the Christian duty to support the government.

1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect;if honor, then honor. (Roman 13:1-7)(New International)(this version of the Holy Bible was only submitted for clarity).

...Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.(KJV)

It is the Christian's duty. I had to repeat this because some think that they are not duty bound to the government and it's leaders. They are duty bound unless, government laws directly come in conflict with God's law. Remember, Jesus payed taxes just like everybody else. He didn't violate the laws of Pagan Rome which was the government that he was ruling in His day. He obeyed God and Man. I hope that each Christian will see it this way. Christians are followers of Christ if they do not follow His example in this matter then how can they called themselves Christians? Now, that the election is over and the president has been chosen what will the Christian do now? He or she should will except their responsibility and serve. I ask the question to those who voted for Obama and those who didn't voted for him because of their personal conviction can you share your ideas, your talents, or your convictions with President Obama? I hope that all the people of this great country said,"Yes We Can".
